This 1st issue of "Small and Medium Enterprise" has the pleasure to meet all of you. In this corner, we like to bring out stories of how our members started their own small or medium business from scratch. The process they gone through in doing so, challenges they faced. And we would like to have these shared with all members. In this issue we are going to talk about the success story of Mr. Ho Rong Ji in making business in "lei-cha 擂茶". "lei-cha 擂茶"is one of the a delicacies of the Hakka people. It was already in the "Sung Dynasty" that "lei-cha 擂茶" was a daily diet of the Hakka people, especially for serving their guests. However, nowadays, it is no more a food solely for the Hakka people, it has also become a delicacy for health. People of other dialect, like "Fu Zhou", "Fu Jian", "Hainanese" and "Cantonese" had also taken "lei-cha 擂茶" as a healthy diet. It is a trend that youngster nowadays also like to take "lei-cha 擂茶". It is said to be "the more you consume, the more delicious it becomes". When initially consuming "lei-cha 擂茶", you will feel bitterness, however, after several consumption you will feel that it is delicious and the taste is just fanstatic. "lei-cha 擂茶" prepared by Mr. Ho is based on Hakka "lei-cha 擂茶". Having gone through research and experiment, Mr. Ho used 8 Chinese herbal medicine as ingredients, cooking this "lei-cha 擂茶" in the traditionally method.
